WorldShards, which represents an immersive world-building platform executed in a sandbox, has kicked off a New Beginnings contest. The contest asks players to show off their building skills and share a 60-second video with the community on the official Discord channel. The contest is only open for Verified players and those with winning videos will receive rewards, including Islands of Tranquility for the top three winners.
Unveiling a New Era of Creativity in WorldShards
The New Beginnings contest is about celebrating the vibrant creator community of the sandbox MMORPG, which also offers endless exploration to the users. The contest is kicked off to encourage the creator community to unleash their creativity skills by crafting stunning in-game environments.
Only Verified players can participate in the contest. Players with unverified profiles can first verify through Discord before participating.
Contest Details and Awards to be Won
To participate in the contest, players have to share a 60-second video to show off their building skills and creations. The videos must be shared on the official Discord channel to be considered for the rewards.
One user can only share one video and the video shall not be longer than 60 seconds. In addition to posting the video on the 📸| contest channel, participants can make the video available on YouTube.
The last date for submitting the videos is 9th December, 2024 at 5:30 PM updated from the previous deadline of 8th December, 2024.
The WorldShards hasn’t yet shared the basis for analyzing the videos and how the winners will be decided. But the list of prizes to be won includes;
- Large Island of Tranquility for the winner in first position.
- Medium Island of Tranquility for the winner at the second position.
- Small Island of Tranquility for the winner at third position.
In addition to these three, there’s an Audience Choice Award and the winner will receive a Large Island of Bliss.
Contest participants who will get more than 20 fire emoji ( 🔥) reactions to their video on Discord will get an NFT loot box.
While these are contest-based rewards, the WorldShards team has also brought back Comfort Leaderboard, this time with better rewards. Top three players on the leaderboard by “Comfort Level†will receive:
- Large Island of Bliss
- Medium Island of Bliss
- Small Island of Bliss
The islands will be provided to the player based on their position on the leaderboard.
All contest winners will be announced on 13th December 2024, but the Audience Choice Award will be given after voting is completed
Other Notable Events at WorldShards
WorldShards is running three events simultaneously. In addition to the New Beginnings contest, there’s
- Craft ‘Em All: Players are asked to craft items and earn points in return. The number of points earned increases based on the item’s rarity and tier. In the contest, crafting weapons will bring more points than crafting armor and tools.
Two leaderboards are available to help players track their progress. The first one will record and rank players for crafting collectible items and the other is for standard items.
The awards for this event include Island of Tranquility, Island of Bliss, Island of Harmony, and thousands of Gems.
- Runes and Essence: In this event, players are tasked to collect as many runes and essences as possible to get Rush Points. Every type of rune and essence provides different types of grant points. To come to the top, players must build strategies and earn as many Rush Points as possible.
- Winners of this contest will receive prizes like Island of Delight, Island of Happiness, and Island of Joy. In addition to these, they will also get 3 Legendary Artifacts, 3 Epic Artifacts, and 3 Rare Artifacts in accordance to their position on the leaderboard.
Both these events began on 9th November, 2025 at 5:30 PM and the end date on which the prizes will be announced is yet to be disclosed.
