Domenation has officially launched in Early Access, bringing a fresh take on the Battle Royale genre. Built by Blackmouth Games, this third-person shooter is now available on Steam, Ultra, Elixir Games, and HyperPlay.

What is Domenation?

Domenation is set in a futuristic world where players fight against each other and hostile creatures called Mutants on a massive, visually stunning island. Up to 42 players can join a match, although the Early Access build now only supports 28 players in single-player mode. Each game lasts 12 minutes, making it perfect for quick and intense gameplay sessions.

Unique Gameplay Mechanics

Domenation stands out with its "Domes" and "Pulse" mechanics. Instead of the usual storm shrinking the play area, players must seek shelter in energy shields known as Domes (that's why the game is also known as "Bubble Royale"). These Domes appear on a periodic basis around the map to protect players from the Pulse, a deadly event that occurs every few minutes. Players can explore the map freely, hunt for loot, and battle AI-controlled enemies for rare items. With fewer Domes each round, players are forced into intense combat points until the final showdown in a single Dome.

The Domenation World

In the game's lore, after a cataclysmic event, survival on Earth became possible only through the Domes, powered by a rare mineral called Domenite. This mineral's scarcity led to conflicts, and to prevent further violence, corporations created the Dome Games. These regulated events determine who controls Domenite extraction contracts.

Skins and Equipment

Players can customize their characters with various skins and chips to enhance their gameplay. The map is filled with loot chests containing weapons, grenades, shields, and health packs. Higher rarity items provide better stats but are harder to find. Players must strategically use these items to outlast their opponents​.

Community Involvement

While players can customize their experience with various in-game assets, Blackmouth Games also focuses on community involvement. The team seeks to include user-generated content and evolve the game based on player feedback. This approach ensures that Domenation remains dynamic and relevant, offering fresh content and new challenges. 

How to Play to Earn

While the full P2E mechanics are not live yet, Domenation plans to launch a single-token system with $DOMEN as the utility game token. Players can earn $DOMEN through various activities. These include taking part in standard and competitive game modes, completing challenges, and joining tournaments. The token can be used to obtain NFTs, enhance player experiences, and provide exclusive perks. 

NFT Mint Raffle Event

Apart from the Early Access launch, players can take part in Domenation's free NFT mint raffle on Premint. This event gives players a chance to win one of 3,000 NFTs. To join, you must register on the Premint page with your wallet address and complete a series of social quests. The mint date has not been announced yet, though this event offers an exciting opportunity for early adopters.

Competitive Tournaments

Domenation also offers competitive play with occasional tournaments. One such event is the EUR 3,000 tournament at OWN Valencia in July. These events provide players with other ways to earn rewards and showcase their skills on a larger stage​.
