Play and earn mobile idle RPG Guild of Guardians is getting 2 new guardians on November 20th, 5 PM AEDT, which is the same time when a new special event starts: Kriezâs Curse. Hereâs how you can get the new Guardians!
How to Get New Guardians: Hana & Dribb
There will be 2 new Guardians for players to mint using Prayers or Calling Crystals for a limited time: Hana, The Miraculous Mage, and Dribb, The Goblin Champion.
From November 20th, 5 PM AEDT, to November 27th, players can purchase Prayers on Erisâ Store using funds from Immutable Passport. Prayers come in limited supply, and the price varies depending on which package you choose to buy:
- Single Prayer: $4.99 USD (Limited to 1000)
- Prayer Bundle (40x): $180.00 USD (Limited to 120 bundles)
- Single Premium Prayer: $49.99 USD (Limited to 200)
According to the official blog post, those who end up being among the first to buy Prayers can look forward to getting a discount of up to 10%.
A Prayer has to be sacrificed for a chance at minting Hana or Dribb. A mystery prize is said to be awarded every time you sacrifice a Prayer, except for guaranteed Hana rolls from the streak-breaker mechanic. While a standard Prayer gives you a 2.06% chance and a 10.6% chance of summoning Hana or Dribb respectively, a Premium Prayer comes with a 42.25% chance of getting Hana.
Here's how the streak-breaker mechanic works: if you use up 40 regular Prayers consecutively, and they all fail to mint the new Guardians, you are then guaranteed to get Hana. You are also guaranteed Hana if sacrificing 3 Premium Prayers in a row doesnât get you the new character.
As for Calling Crystals, they donât seem to have any maximum supply limit, and can be bought from November 20th to December 4th using the in-game store. The following options are available:
- Single Calling Crystal: $3.99SUD
- Calling Crystal Bundle (10x): $39.99 USD
- Calling Crystal Bundle (30x): $99.99 USD
Hana is a Legendary Mage class character with Intelligence aptitude. She hails from the Imperials faction and the Solas domain, and is said to be a must-own master mage for players that need to enhance their parties with stronger AOE damage. Hana can also lower the enemyâs energy, meaning the opposing side has to wait longer before they can use their ultimate abilities. Developer Mineloader suggests combining Hana with Lia and Tianlong for a strong AOE team, while those who want to disrupt a teamâs usage of ultimate abilities should form a team of Hana, Tieroc, and Farrah. A detailed skills breakdown for Hana is available in the official announcement post, which is not the case for Dribb at the time of writing, who we know so far to be a Warrior class goblin of Cinder domain that sides with the Redeemers faction, according to the summary on the official summoning events page.
For an unspecified limited time only, players are guaranteed to get Hana within the first 40 summons.
What Is Guild of Guardiansâ New Special Event: Kriezâs Curse?
Kriezâs Curse is a new special event in Guild of Guardians in which you form a party by picking guardians pre-selected for this occasion in order to begin a dangerous adventure through various dungeon rooms leading to the powerful Dreadshade Kriez.
This event starts on November 20th, 5 PM AEDT, and ends on November 27th at 3 PM AEDT. You can have up to 3 legendary guardians in your party, with all of them starting at level 1 and levelling up by earning XP along the way. Non-special event unique gear cannot be used. Instead, you will have to find new gear that is designed to be used for this special event only, meaning you canât use them outside this mode later on. The un-ascended Radiance level is used, while Enlightenment is set to the default of the guardianâs rarity.
Progression through this event is saved, so even if all your guardians die, you will be able to continue at the last Camp room you managed to get to, while choosing to play rooms youâve already completed will be rewarded with a reduced number of points. You can reset progression if you want to though, resetting your party and all your levels, gear, and skills, with tickets also getting refunded in the process. Players can restart a total of 7 times.
Everyone will start off with 10 free tickets to use to play the event, and players wonât be given any more freebies, nor will there be any daily free resets. You can use rubies to buy 5 more tickets if you want to, but aside from that, the only way to get tickets again will be to restart, as that will refund any used tickets.
