After hosting a new quest with prizes sponsored by Faraway and HV-MTL last week, gaming metaverse Nifty Island has now teamed up with Pudgy Penguins to launch this week’s series of Pudgy Penguins: Glacial Guardians quests.

Quest Details

This questline will last for 4 days and feature daily 4-hour Blitz Raffle quests in which you can earn points by playing playground games on the top 5 islands from the Pudgy Penguin Island UGC contest. Playground games are basically mini-games based on classic game modes such as Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and more. The available mini-games can vary from one island to another though, and you can check which ones can be played by checking out the island’s official page, with a short description included for each game. By playing these modes on the chosen islands, you get to earn Blooms, an in-game currency used to build and upgrade your own 3D island, as well as mint various NFTs on Ethereum through the metaverse’s official marketplace. The amount of quest points you earn is equal to the number of Blooms earned in eligible mini-games, excluding the daily Bloom multiplier.

The first quest begins on August 6th at 11 PM GMT+2 with 2 quest islands, and by getting enough points while it lasts, you’ll be able to enter raffles for a chance at earning NFTs and Airdrop Points. Each prize has its own raffle and minimum point requirement.

The prizes are the same across each quest, while the islands you play on rotate. Getting at least 100 quest points earns you 1500 Blooms and lets you enter raffles for 50 Airdrop Points and 4 Legendary Pistols, while 200 quest points qualifies you for the Iron Palm raffle. Earning 300 points during a quest is rewarded with 2500 Blooms.

• Time: Thursday, August 8th, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM GMT+2

Glacial Guardians #4

• Time: Saturday, August 10th, 4:00 AM – 8:00 AM GMT+2
• Raffle Rewards: 50 Airdrop Points (30 winners), 1x Iron Palm, 4x Legendary Pistol (one winner each), 1500 Blooms (unlimited winners), 2500 Blooms (unlimited winners).

Legendary Pistols are in-game ERC721 weapons that each feature unique textures and properties inspired by various Web3 communities. Players were able to mint them earlier using Blooms as part of the Bloom Rewards Open Beta Collection, and their utility may continue to grow the more games are made in Nifty Island.

Iron Palms are common ERC1155 assets from the Legendary Palms collection, which divides the Palms into 6 tiers, the lowest tier being the Iron one. The higher the tier, the lower the maximum supply. Only 2000 Iron Palms will ever exist, and owning one could reward you with new Legendary Items such as Legendary Pistols, with holders also gaining membership to PalmDAO, a creator and collector community that help turn NFTs into playable game items while being at the forefront of “uncovering rich lore and new adventures.”

How to Play

To get started, you need to have a verified account and the game client downloaded on Windows or Mac. While creating an account can be done for free, getting it verified will require being active in this metaverse for a couple of days. You can still play on the islands eligible for this week’s quests though, as well as on various other player-made islands while doing various activities to collect more Blooms and expand your own island.
