Gaming ecosystem Kokomo Games has announced the launch of One Million and One Kokos (1M1), referred to as the first real-time PvP tapping game on Telegram. With the release comes the start of Season 0, during which you can win a free mint spot for an OG NFT simply by playing for free. Hereâs how you can secure your spot!
How to Earn Free OG NFT Mint Spot
To secure your spot for the OG NFT free FCFS mint, youâll need to complete 3 social tasks found in-game that will only be available for an unspecified limited time. You can easily jump into the game using the link found in this announcement. Once you press the play button after reading the gameâs rules, youâll be thrown straight away into a global match, but more on the game mechanics will be covered a bit later. At the top of the screen is the button youâll want to tap to see the 3 social tasks and begin doing them. They seem to guarantee a free mint spot (albeit a FCFS phase) if you do all of them, and are fairly simple, typical social tasks that you have seen just about everywhere by now. The first one includes following the Kokomo Games account on X. For the second task, you have to join the ecosystemâs official Telegram Community channel. And the third and final task of course requires you to invite 3 friends. You can invite more friends if you want to, and it seems you could get rewarded with something for doing so in the future.
If you do all these tasks, you will gain OG status and a whitelist spot for the OG NFT as the developerâs way of saying thank you for showing them this early support. Not much specific is known about the utility of this Kokomo OG NFT, but owning one is said to unlock âfuture points, benefits and rewards.â According to info from the gameâs Telegram bot, it seems there will be 2 types of OG NFTs: Diamond OG NFTs and Classic OG NFTs. The Classic ones are available for new players for a limited time, so Iâm guessing thatâs what you can mint by completing the 3 social tasks. The Diamond ones are rare and have a max supply, and are âavailable by WL only.â It seems whitelist spots for that one will be given out through social media giveaways, as was recently the case.
With all that being said, letâs take a look at the actual game itself and see how your gameplay might actually be rewarded with benefits in the entire ecosystem at some point in the future.
Tap to Earn Points for Future Benefits
Each Season will consist of a couple of global PvP matches, and you will be thrown straight into the ongoing one once you open the web3 title. Basically, every Match features an enormous map of empty spaces that players compete for by filling them with coconuts, labelled here as Kokos. Simply tap on an empty circle and voila, that space now has your Koko on it, highlighted in green color. Kokos that show as red are placed by other players. You can sabotage other players by removing their Kokos and placing yours on it. By doing so, you deduct the playerâs point, while refilling the space for yourself earns you the point instead.
And thatâs the core gameplay loop of this play to earn title, at least for Season 0 â tap to fill empty spaces with Kokos to earn as many points as you can during the current Match and ongoing Season overall. You get +1 for each circle/box filled, and lose -1 point whenever someone clears a circle you filled. Players can also achieve Streaks to earn bonus points. Itâs not specified how much exactly does a Streak bonus award, but getting a Streak basically boils down to reaching milestones, such as filling or sabotaging 100 Kokos. The game displays your score at the top, as well as the total number of points gained by all players during the current Match based on the number of spaces filled at the time. There doesnât seem to be a timer for each Match, as every Match ends once the whole board is filled with Kokos, resetting the map automatically to start a new one for more tap to earn action. Iâm not sure how large the board is, unless itâs literally in the title of the game itself, One Million and One Kokos. It sure feels like it, as you can endlessly scroll down to find empty spaces to fill if you donât want to sabotage ones filled earlier. At least for now.
Info on when the current Season ends is not available at the time of writing, but the team has teased plans to add more features every Season, such as Leaderboards, Challenges, Missions, and Teams, to give players more ways to earn points.
But whatâs the point of earning points? Well, according to this official tweet, your score will âcarry overâ throughout the Kokomo ecosystem. What this means is yet to be revealed, and thatâs all that seems to be known for now regarding points. As the team continues to develop the entire platform (which doesnât have its own website yet), perhaps weâll get to use points to spend on certain in-game items, or to access point-gated experiences. If youâre interested in whatâs next in store for this blockchain gaming ecosystem and like tap to earn games, then you might want to start tapping and stacking points now to be among the early players to reap the potential future benefits.
