Free to play Web3 MOBA Arena of Faith is having an exciting month with the launch of its own Play to Airdrop Campaign through which players have a variety of ways to earn points used to determine your ACP token allocation.

How to Participate

Anyone can download the game for free on mobile and Windows PCs to start participating while enjoying the competitive team-based gameplay. Players need to earn Faith Points to be eligible for the airdrop. The more points you have in comparison to the total amount of points distributed, the bigger will your share of tokens be.

Faith Points can be collected in 4 different ways. These include winning daily games, ranking high on leaderboards, qualifying for the weekly ‘contribution’ leaderboard reward pool (more on this in a moment), and taking part in various Cups and major in-game events. Multipliers are also included, with a 2x point multiplier available on weekdays, while a 5x multiplier is present during the weekend.

Prize Pool

Based on the initial announcement, the starting prize pool is 525,393 ACP tokens, but this can be increased in a couple of different ways. Every 30 Faith Points earned seems to add 0.2 ACP that is increased by the day’s multiplier, while every Cup match participant brings 2 ACP upped by the day’s bonus multiplier. Playing with a Pioneer Avatar NFT increases the pool by 0.2 ACP plus the multiplier, and using up one Gold Hero Card NFT energy point also brings the same base amount buffed by the day’s bonus multiplier.

All of these activities that add more tokens to the pool are considered as ‘contributions’. This means that, whatever of these things you do to increase the reward pool, you are actually earning points that go towards the weekly ‘contribution’ leaderboard prize pool, thus incentivizing players for their varied and active participation.

As mentioned before, the number of tokens you will be airdropped will depend not just on your stack of Faith Points, but also on the total number of points accumulated by all participants. You can only earn points for the airdrop before the TGE, with your share of the pie determined after the token goes live. No exact dates seem to be available at the time of writing, so it’s best to start earning points as early as possible for a better chance at winning a bigger airdrop. After TGE, Faith Points will become a ranking point used to determine seasonal leaderboard positions in order to reward players with ACP tokens in proportion to points gained by all during the season.

What Is Arena of Faith?

While currently a MOBA, Arena of Faith aims to be a competitive autonomous world that delivers on-chain esports gaming through various Web3 and ‘Web2.5’ games. This ecosystem is set to consist of various on-chain assets, tournaments, a prediction market and more. For now you can enjoy the flagship cross-platform title, which is a 5v5 MOBA featuring standard 3-lane arena battles alongside tournaments and cup matches. Players can mint Skin NFTs for a wide range of heroes, as well as own Hero Card NFTs designed to enable play to earn gaming by awarding ACP tokens. There are also Gold Hero Card versions that bring increased token rewards, but whichever version you go for will let you play tournaments and cup matches to earn tokens and mystery boxes.

Next to these assets is the Pioneer Avatar NFT collection. These ERC-721 utility assets on Ethereum seem to be the core NFTs of this gaming ecosystem that bring a variety of long-term benefits such as governance, access to locked exclusive characters, double Faith Points rewards, early priority purchase opportunities for future Hero Card NFTs, and potentially more.

What Is the Utility of the Upcoming ACP Token?

The earnable token will be used to pay for participation in competitive events while burning it in exchange for various NFTs from different games in the ecosystem. Players will also burn ACP to train their own AI which aims to improve the player’s “competitive level based on their gaming habits,” according to the whitepaper. A prediction market will also be in place in which token holders will be able to use ACP to make various predictions via the official website but also in-game as well. Total supply and token distribution details are not yet available. 

Following the start of the airdrop event, Arena of Faith announced a partnership with Animoca Brands, whose expertise aims to help the developers in their goal to “redefine the future of web3 competitive gaming.”
